Latest Vlog!

Time Together

This year has been trans formative for me health-wise... I'm slowly coming back from a long stint of ill-health. While I may never get back to where I was before all of that, I do feel like this year is really taking a step in the right direction.

So much so we've been on longer walks almost every weekend!

Something I could never have done a few years ago.

Even the dog seems more excited by the change in me.

This is a local haunt for us now, a public footpath that goes through some farmland and by a stream.

Patch loves streams.

This new found need to be outdoors has really changed the way we spend time together, Darrin has even become more interested in growing food... helping me in the garden with the bigger jobs.

What do I attribute this change too?

I'll be honest my diet change and switching to Veganism has been the real driving force. I really believe that my eating choices are much more health because of it, as is my outlook on food and exercise.

My Garden Journal

How do you keep all of your thoughts and musings on your garden?

Do you vlog, blog, or journal?

I've been doing a bit of each and I find it really helps me make sense of my garden as it grows and as I learn.

Blogging for me is my passion, I always said if I didn't work in fashion I wanted to be a creative writer. After going ahead and working in fashion, I started my own craft business back in mid-2006 and here I started blogging. That blog quickly grew and gave me enormous pleasure to keep up to date. I guess it became the outlet for creative writing.

After selling that business in 2017, I became a craft business coach over at My Indie Life Blog, the foundation of that business is also a blog. So blogging here at Green-fingered Vegan was a natural step.

As was vlogging, which is something I have also done for work... so why not my garden. Here I can get a real sense of what's happening in my garden and I think over time this video bank will help me with future garden pla…

Dartmoor National Park; Beliver Woods, Tor and Grimespound (then into the veggie garden)

I had a wonderful time walking with Darrin and my brother... Patch loved it! We even got to see Dartmoor Ponies;

The garden is moving real quick too, so much growth! Can't wait to start harvesting!!
